Welcome to the Yama-Kan Self-Defense School

Kajukenbo is a unique form of martial arts that combines techniques from Karate (KA), Judo and Jujitsu (JU), Chinese Kenpo (KEN), and Chinese Boxing or Kung-Fu (BO). The foundation of Kajukenbo is that no single fighting style is the "best" and that every style has something unique to offer. Read more about our art...

Our classes focus on real world self-defense applications and are taught from a technique-based system that teaches body mechanics and efficiency. This allows each individual to utilize their own strengths and the techniques mold to fit the individual. When one becomes efficient with their techniques they have a personalized strategy of self-defense and awareness.
