Kettlebell Boot Camp
The Yama-Kan Kajukenbo Self-Defense School is proud to present a kettlebell bootcamp for beginners. Our Kettlebell program offers a dynamic total body work out and is an excellent way to improve core strength. Kettlebells provide a low impact exercise that promotes mobility and flexibility. Kettlebells are a great stand alone exercise program, but also serve as a great compliment to yoga, running, martial arts or any sporting activities. Our workshop will provide a great workout which emphasizes basic exercises and proper technique.

Seminar Registration: $30 for Yama-Kan students, $35 non-students Robin Tidwell is a 4th Dan black belt judoka with 40 years of competitive Judo experience, 35 of those years training under the highest-ranked judoka in the United States, 9th Dan Sensei Vince Tamura of Dallas.� Mr. Tidwell never placed lower than 3rd in the National Senior Mens� Masters Championships from 1984-2000.� His book on Judo chokes and submissions is well-regarded in the field. Sifu Tony Morel has over 25 years� experience in martial arts, was State Champion twice, is a Certified 5th Degree black belt in Kajukenbo, and was named Master Instructor of the Year in 2007. |

Helio Soneca Moreira Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Seminar

Mr. Helio “Soneca” Moreira started practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the age of 8 with Black Belt Master Cirilo Azevedo. Having fallen in love with Martial Arts at age 9, he was already a Brazilian Champion. At the age of 13 Helio moved to Rio de Janeiro and started practicing with the Gracie Club, now known as Barra Gracie, taught by Machado Brothers, Ze Henrique Leao Teixeira and Renzo Gracie. Soneca, as he is known in the Martial Arts World, choose Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as his career, totally dedicating himself to it. At 22, he received from Master Carlos Gracie Jr. the Black Belt he had been dreaming of; a prestige that few people had at the time. Soneca is currently a 4th Dan and known as one of the best fighters and Masters in the world. He is also one of the founders of Gracie Barra, currently one of the best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu schools in the world.
